The Stars Do Speak

The Stars Do Speak

The Stars Do Speak
The stars above in all their glory
How they sparkle and do shine
To tell the ancient story
Of His Gospel, Christ Divine.

They have not failed to speak
In every constellation
From the day they were created
Shining down on generations.

Their speech is endless
As they proclaim to all upon the earth.
For was it not His star
That led the wise men to His birth?

In the sign of Virgo
This brilliant Star appeared
In the head of infant Coma
To announce His coming as it neared.

Christ is called the Daystar
And no wonder it is so
For this star shone in the daytime
All those many years ago.

Hidden in their knowledge
From the Father, Son, and Spirit
His eternal plan for man
To all ears who would hear it.

Libra shows the balance weighed
Suspended in the sky.
Sin’s awful debt redemption paid
For you and I.

Centaurus depicts the double nature
Son of God and Son of Man
Immanuel, God with us
Oh! The wonder of His plan.

Draco that old serpent
As he fought to take the crown
Sagittarius the warring Archer shows our victor
As He takes the dragon down.

The Southern Cross is clearly seen
To every eye beholding
His suffering and sacrifice
The plan of God unfolding.

The Northern Crown, His victory
Arrayed in all its splendor
Given to the only One
Who gave His full Surrender.
Cassiopeia, the queenly woman
A most celestial wonder
Made of double, triple and quadruple stars
Of magnitude and number;

She sits enthroned
This is the Bride of Christ and the Lamb
The star-crowned King, shown in Persus
Reaching toward her with His sceptre in His hand.

For in the book of Daniel
The Bible does express
Those who have His wisdom
And His righteousness
Will shine like the stars forever
In His Resplendence.

There are many more to mention
And too many more to tell
Like Lyra the harp, sounding praise from heaven
And Ara the burning pyre
Declares the burning flames of hell.

The truth has been so obscured
By Greek mythology
With false hopes and horiscopes
And men’s philosophies.

But we have a Bible in the sky
In every starry picture
The coming of our Saviour
As revealed in Holy scripture.

Would you hear His voice
As He shouts through His creation?
Humanity lies without excuse
Because of their revelation.

Look up! Look up! Humanity
To the One whom you should seek
And to the starry heavens
For still the stars do speak.

Given by the Spirit
Written by Donna Bennett

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows and proclaims His handiwork.
Day after day pours forth speech, and night after night shows forth knowledge.
There is no speech nor spoken word [from the stars]; their voice is not heard.
Yet their voice [in evidence] goes out through all the earth, their sayings to the end of the world.
Psalm 19:1-4
